Over the past year, our Wednesday crochet group at The Howard Centre has grown into something really special. What started with the simple idea of teaching people a new craft has brought together hundreds of people to learn, create, chat and enjoy some time for themselves. Across more than 35 sessions, we welcomed over 350 attendees, with many people returning week after week and discovering that crochet really is a skill anyone can learn with a little patience and encouragem

We are so excited to share that The Craft Room has officially opened its doors in the Howard Centre, Welwyn Garden City! This is such a big step for us as a charity, and we couldn’t be happier to finally have a space right in the heart of the community. Our new hub is more than just a shop – it’s a welcoming creative space where people of all ages can connect, craft, and feel at home.
